UV light can be used for a large variety of applications. With high-energy UV light, water, air and surfaces can be reliably sterilised, cleaned and treated. The use of chemicals can be reduced or even avoided. In comparison with other technologies, too, UV light is an economical and environmentally friendly alternative which is increasingly used in many industries.
