Arc + Flash lamps - Research and development

Heraeus Noblelight invests in R&D to keep improving lamp performance. This includes long-term research projects to increase lifetime of high-power CW lamps and investigations into new materials and manufacturing technologies.
With the ability to measure and record lamp performance during operation and a team of ten engineers, Heraeus Noblelight has the necessary resources to drive innovation in laser lamps.

With the arc and flash lamp laboratory at Kaiserlautern University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Heraeus Noblelight has a cooperation that is unique in the industry. The fully equipped laboratory of the university can be used exclusively by Heraeus, e.g. for
- Systematic life tests on CW and flash lamps
- Testing of new materials
- Customer-specific experiments to improve efficiency and lifetime of lamps
